HarassMap began as a volunteer initiative in Northern Africa to combat the prevalence of sexual harassment through geo-locating incidents of abuse. Through the data collected from reported incidents, the platform is able to identify hotspots for sexual harassment meanwhile allowing survivors thereof the privacy to report without the stigma of legal/criminal sexual harassment charges
